Supporting Higher Education: Scaling AI and Machine Learning Access
A leading R1 research university had an ambitious goal: to expand state-of-the-art AI and machine learning programs into community colleges nationwide. But with their internal grants team at full capacity, they needed an experienced partner to help bring the vision to life.
Working side by side, Trivium Consulting provided targeted strategic guidance to align the project with federal priorities, developed agency-specific proposals that clearly demonstrated impact, and ensured every detail was ready for submission. After funding was awarded, we continued to support the university with compliance planning and project launch, smoothing the transition from award to implementation.

Expanding Rural Broadband Access at a Historic HBCU
This small HBCU, set in an economically challenged rural area, faced a daunting reality. Their service region stretched across vast distances, with a small, dispersed population, many of whom had no reliable broadband internet or even cellular coverage at home. Yet the institution remained steadfast in its mission: to support not only its students but everyone in the community who depended on education and connectivity to move forward.
Together, we built new regional partnerships and shaped a grant proposal that would resonate with funders and address pressing needs: mobile internet trucks to bring connectivity to remote areas, community IT help desks to support digital literacy, and 24/7 broadband access in public spaces. The resulting grant is already making an impact by bridging the digital divide, expanding educational access, and strengthening workforce readiness for countless individuals in underserved communities.
Scaling STEM Programs for K-12 Learners
A statewide nonprofit had built a strong track record with foundation grants, expanding computer science education in classrooms and afterschool programs across their region. But when it came to pursuing federal funding, they needed a partner to help them take the next step with confidence.
